How do I find the information I need from the wool.com.au website?
All of the information on the wool.com.au website is searchable using the Search Box (located in the top right-hand corner of every page).
Simply type your keyword(s) in the Search Box and press Enter or click Search. If your search is successful, the results will appear in order of relevance.
If no results are presented, try changing the keywords to be more generic and search again.
Search tips:
- Use specific, descriptive words instead of general ones. For example, searching “Mulesing Accreditation” instead of just “Mulesing” will increase the chance of finding what you are looking for
- Searches do not recognise capitalisation. The search engine treats upper- and lower-case letters as the same.
- There is no need to use AND between search terms. The search engine automatically adds the word “and’ between each word.
Alternatively, you can view the content headings for the entire wesbite by clicking on the Sitemap, located at the top of every page.
I am having trouble opening attachments from wool.com.au.
Much of the content provided on wool.com.au is available in Portable Document Format (PDF).
We publish documents this way to decrease file size, to ensure that no one can change the original wording or layout of the document and to guarantee that if you want to print one of our publications, they will print exactly as you see it on-screen.
To view PDF files, you must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. You can download this free software at Adobe's website.
Once you have downloaded and installed Adobe Acrobat Reader, you should be able to view the PDF automatically in the browser window when you click on a PDF link.
Email the AWI Online Manager if you require further assistance.
How do I listen to Audio Files from AWI?
Audio files on wool.com.au are available in Windows Media format (ASF).
To play audio files, such as the Innovation Radio programs, you will need Windows Media Player.
Your computer may come with this program already installed, in which case it will automatically load when you open a wool.com.au audio file. If not, Windows Media Player is available as a free download for both PC and Macintosh systems.
Windows Media can be downloaded from Microsoft.
Pages are not printing as they appear on wool.com.au.
All pages on wool.com.au are set to print in simple plain text style.
This means that when you select Print or Print Preview when browsing the site they are automatically formatted into plain text rather than printing as the page appears onscreen.
If you would like to print one of the pages exactly as it appears in your browser, you can print the screen using the Print Screen (it might say Prt Sc or Print Scrn) key on your keyboard.
Then, open your imaging software or document editing tool, such as Word, and select your Paste command (usually Ctrl+V ).
For Mac users, hit the Apple key (next to the space bar), the Shift key, and the number 3 key simultaneously. This will take a screen shot of the current screen and save it to the desktop as a PDF.
