MME Sonia Rykiel, Patron of The Woolmark Prize, today announced Qiu Hao from China will now join design greats Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurent, Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, Romeo Gigli, Dolce & Gabbana and Giorgio Armani in the Woolmark hall of fame, as the 2008 winner of the inaugural Woolmark Prize.

Total Australian wool production is forecast to decline slightly in the 2008/09 season, despite expected higher output in Queensland and NSW.
The Chairman of Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) today announced that the AWI Board unanimously passed the following resolution at the AWI Board meeting of 26 June: RESOLUTION: the Board resolved that only the CEO (or CEO delegate) and the Chairman will speak to the media on matters relating to AWI, unless otherwise approved by the Chairman. Any directors that transgress this policy will be censured. All directors were reminded of their obligations under the Corporations Act.
